More than 135 million people worldwide have diabetes. The International Diabetes Federation says that complications from diabetes kill 2.8 million people around the world every year and the World Health Organization predicts that by 2025, diabetes will affect 300 million of the world’s citizens.
Diabetes is the primary cause of blindness, kidney failure and amputation and the average life expectancy of people with diabetes is significantly shorter than that of the general population. Complications caused by diabetes affect the eyes, nerves and kidneys of more than 50% of those who live more than 20 years with the disease. One out of every seven dollars spent on health care is spent on diabetes.
The best way to manage diabetes is to CURE IT.
